Connectivity issues?

If your application is stuck in "connecting" mode or has stopped with error messages such as "Network error, please try again" or "Unable to connect to our service, please check your network connection and try again", this may be related to your connection or the configuration of your firewall or internet gateway.
Configure your network firewall by referring to the table below. These rules must be applied to both inbound and outbound traffic.

- You can open just a port range of your choice without opening the full range (depending on the number of users you have)
Private Discuss primarily uses port 443 for its communications and is therefore proxy-server friendly by default. In some cases, a specific configuration is required for closed proxies. The configuration above allows you to connect freely. If your connection issues persist: disable your VPN if you have one, your firewall, and/or, if possible, your proxy in order to be able to communicate with the Private Discuss servers.
